Big Country News reported on June 18, 2018, that a woman had been hospitalized due to an auto accident in South Abilene on Monday afternoon. The accident was the result of two cars colliding with each other.

According to Big Country Homepage, the Abilene Police Department issued a search warrant for the cell phone and account data used by the driver of the vehicle that was involved in a crash that killed two young girls.
